On the question as to why Prospero has yanked the only style sheet that gives MAC Safari users full access to AARP's message boards. I have discovered an interesting advertisement on Prospero's web site select option 3. This is some what humorous since the New Message Board system provides 60% the functionality of the of the Old Message Board system.

The new message board system provided MAC Safari support " OUT of the BOX. The vehicle was an "ADVANCED MODE " style sheet package . This style sheet package came with the system and was operable from the initial install. This mimicked the OLD MESSAGE BOARD system. The ADVANCED MODE had an issue with the

command invoking a different CSS text tag style ? the text became "ity bity". Also a set of "nav bars" needed to be added to complete the package. After using the ADVANCED MODE for a few weeks I found that all other features worked. The BASIC MODE needed a toggle link from BASIC to ADVANCED and back. Are these modifications too difficult to implement ?? Looks like some one started the job,, why not finish the job.

Prospero is bragging about the rich feature set and the supposed "INCLUSIVE" nature of their message board system with statements like this: " Want to transform your users from passive readers into active participants—and cement their relationship with you in the process? Then give them a platform where they can comfortably interact with your content and each other. Give them Prospero’s message boards, the best tool for getting your audience from sitting on their hands to “talking” with them!

Message boards (also known as discussion boards or forums) have grown in sophistication and popularity since the dial-up days of the 1980s. User still post opinions and questions and get responses in return as they always have, but they now expect safe, intuitive environments they can personalize to their own unique usage habits. Community owners demand high-performance, scalable solutions that blend seamlessly with their branding and existing authentication systems.

_Prospero’s message boards represent the latest in collaborative technology, evolved from years of “front-line” experience serving high-volume communities for some of most prominent companies online today. They feature a robust set of user tools designed to promote site traffic—and repeat visits—while providing you with all the controls you need to manage it. To learn more, review the partial feature lists below.

How much did AARP pay for these new boards ???? Has the check cleared the bank yet ??? These programmers have some work to do. These guys manage to remove must of the "&" from their web page but they are not done there are still problems to fix.

Looks like the AARPHOST on duty is in way over their head . The need here is for some one who can read and understand the English language . First please read the following http://validator.w3.org/. This is a web page validtion service that is ( as stated on the web page ) FREE .

The results of the W3 validator are not bound bycopy protection the question is what is wrong with this page??

http://community.aarp.org/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=rp-issues

This page is not Valid HTML 4.0 Transitional!

Below are the results of attempting to parse this document with an SGML parser.

  • Warning Line 46 column 82: cannot generate system identifier for general entity "name".
    .../dir-app/scriptFile.aspx?zone=722758&name=Script.StandardJavascriptRef'></scr

An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon (;). The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs as described by the WDG in "Ampersands in URLs".

Entity references start with an ampersand (&) and end with a semicolon (;). If you want to use a literal ampersand in your document you must encode it as "&" (even inside URLs!). Be careful to end entity references with a semicolon or your entity reference may get interpreted in connection with the following text. Also keep in mind that named entity references are case-sensitive; &Aelig; and æ are different characters.

If this error appears in some markup generated by PHP's session handling code, this article has explanations and solutions to your problem.

Note that in most documents, errors related to entity references will trigger up to 5 separate messages from the Validator. Usually these will all disappear when the original problem is fixed.

As a Democrat I find Jefferson sad, silly and humorous all in one thought. He arranged a BRIBE with a FBI agent , took position of the money ON TAPE from a FBI agent , then proceeded to hide the money in a FREZZER was busted with sauid cold cash. Time for the " PerPs" WALK! .

Remember the words of our Inferrious leader George Walker Bush

"

President Discusses Strengthening Social Security in Radio Address

    For Immediate Release_February 26, 2005

    http://www.whitehouse.

    gov/news/releases/2005/02/20050226.html

"_.I will also make clear to younger workers that Social Security is heading toward bankruptcy. Massive numbers of baby boomers, like me, will soon begin to retire. People are living longer and benefits are scheduled to increase dramatically, and fewer workers will be paying into the system to support each retiree. For you younger workers, the current system has made promises that it cannot keep -- and that is also a fact. Every year we wait to address this problem will make any eventual solution more painful and drastic, and we will saddle our children and grandchildren with an ever-greater burden. We need to act now to fix Social Security permanently_.."

President Participates in Social Security Conversation in Maryland

Montgomery Blair High School_Silver Spring, Maryland

    For Immediate Release_Office of the Press Secretary_June 23, 2005

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/

    news/releases/2005/06/20050623.html

"_And so you've got a lot of people getting ready to retire who have been promised greater benefits. The problem we have is that there are fewer people paying into the system. In 1950, there were about 16 workers for every beneficiary. Today, there's 3.3 beneficiary -- workers for every beneficiary. Soon there will be two workers for every beneficiary. You've got a lot of people living longer, getting greater benefits with fewer people paying for us. And the system, as a result, starts going into the red when the baby boomer generation begins to retire.

As a matter of fact, it starts going into the red in 2017. I know that sounds like a long time for people in Washington. It's not very long if you're entering the work place. In other words, you're paying into a system that starts going broke in 2017, into the red. And every year thereafter, after 2017, the problem gets worse. In 2027, it's $200 billion in the hole; in 2030, it's $300 billion in the hole_."

I think we can use the workers paying FICA and other associated taxes to help our economy keep growing. What we don't need is more near slave labor in this country we need people who earn enough money to support themselves !!!!. The bills in the House and in the Senate both keep the EVILsystem in place and promote CHILD ABUSE and poverty in this country and limit growth of the middle class. WE NEED MORE CUSTOMERS WITH MORE MONEY

Safavian Lied About Dealings

With Abramoff, Prosecutor Says

By Jeffrey H. Birnbaum Washington Post Staff Writer_Thursday, May 25, 2006; Page A06

Prosecutors accused David H. Safavian, the federal government's former top procurement official, of lying repeatedly to investigators as the first trial related to the political corruption scandal of lobbyist Jack Abramoff got underway yesterday.

Safavian is accused of concealing the truth and obstructing federal inquiries about his relationship with Abramoff and also about a golfing trip the two men took in 2002 to Scotland and London. Prosecutors signaled that they plan to rely heavily on hundreds of e-mails between Safavian and Abramoff to show that Abramoff was seeking two government properties over which Safavian had influence while offering Safavian favors, including the overseas trip.

House leaders demand FBI return papers

By LAURIE KELLMAN, Associated Press Writer

1 hour, 39 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - In rare, election-year harmony, House Republican and Democratic leaders jointly demanded on Wednesday that theFBI return documents taken in a Capitol Hill raid that has quickly grown into a constitutional turf fight beyond party politics.

"The Justice Department must immediately return the papers it unconstitutionally seized," House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., and Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement.

After that, they said, Democratic Rep. William Jefferson (news, bio, voting record) of Louisiana must cooperate with the Justice Department's bribery investigation against him.

House officials were drafting a joint resolution frowning on the raid. And Judiciary Committee Chairman James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., announced a hearing next week titled, "Reckless Justice: Did the Saturday Night Raid of Congress Trample the Constitution?",,,,,,

_.Hastert's name has come up in a wide-ranging investigation into whether convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff's fundraising influenced several members of Congress, but the Justice Department said Wednesday the speaker wasn't being investigated.

The Associated Press reported last November that Hastert for two years didn't disclose his use of Abramoff's restaurant for a fundraiser just two weeks before he asked the Interior Department in a letter to reject a Louisiana Indian tribe's application for a casino license.

At the time, Abramoff was representing another tribe that opposed the casino. Hastert, who collected a total of $100,000 from Abramoff's and his tribal clients, blamed a paperwork oversight, filed the required disclosure and paid for the use of the restaurant.

"Speaker Hastert is not under investigation by the Justice Department," Tasia Scolino, a spokeswoman for the department said Wednesday night_.

Jefferson was busted with a freezer full of "COLD CASH !! What a dummy.. The transfer was on tape and the money was given to him by a FBI agent . That is called BUSTED.

Posted 5/24/06 7:14 PM
As the investigation into the Republican Culture of Corruption winds on down the road another prominate Republican namely Dinnis Hastert has been implicated in Jack Abramoff 's pay for play lobbying game by ABC News. Despite DOJ denials ABC is sticking by it's " sources".

Officials: Hastert "In the Mix" of Congressional Bribery Investigation

May 24, 2006 6:24 PM

Brian Ross Reports:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/05/federal_officia.html

Federal officials say the Congressional bribery investigation now includes Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, based on information from convicted lobbyists who are now cooperating with the government.

Part of the investigation involves a letter Hastert wrote three years ago, urging the Secretary of the Interior to block a casino on an Indian reservation that would have competed with other tribes.

The other tribes were represented by convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff who reportedly has provided details of his dealings with Hastert as part of his plea agreement with the government. The letter was written shortly after a fund-raiser for Hastert at a restaurant owned by Abramoff. Abramoff and his clients contributed more than $26,000 at the time.

The day Abramoff was indicted, Hastert denied any unlawful connection and said he would donate to charity any campaign contribution he had received from Abramoff and his clients.

Now we are working up the ladder of succession to the PRESIDENCY.

You Said"Assuming the demoncrats are successful in taking over the HR in the fall, what are their plans for governing? Since they cannot as a party come to any kind of consensus over the War on Terror, particularly the Iraq front of this war, what will be their agenda with respect to the war? Do they plan to repeat the actions that they took with respect to Vietnam, shut down the funding and force our troops to retreat in shame again? Or do they plan to ignore the war while they spend the next two years attempting to impeach Bush? I'd really like to know what it is that they plan to change after hearing five years of their armchair quarterbacking. My personal opinion is that they have very little of substance to offer, unless you want to see the conventional role of Govt (including providing National Security) put on hold while they conduct "witch trials" over the following two years."

Who ever came up with the crazy idea to change the format of these message boards are probably working for the RNC / Cato/Heritage Alliance. The removal of the " ADVANCED MODE " style sheet from the board system says it all this was part of the original so called improvement ???? Then the link was pulled. ADVNCED MODE was the only fully useable mode for all browsers, looks like MICROSOFT ONLY MICROSOFT ALL THE TIME PROGRAMMERS . With an bent on limiting access to the boards and restricting expression of ideas.

The fact that AARP is perpetrating a fraud is secondary to the goal of driving folks away from the boards ( who pays for these boards and the AARP's programmers pay checks ????

Why assault AARP from outside when going after members with half wit moderator who can't read a post and know nothing about copy law ( CBO data is not copy protected ). This way the RNC / Cato/Heritage can drive the membership off via a surrogate the distorted moderators coupled with a un named group of programmers performing needles modifications to selectively provide services for some of the selected " right thinking members " when one sells a service via the mails and the internet certain laws apply.

After viewing the assault of the Belafonte loons and the moderators hands off approach to their tirades coupled with the most pointless insults and name calling out side of AOL's political commentary board I am left to wonder who arranged for their intrusion. Was all that craziness a pretense to start eliminating un popular members ???

Or is AARRP bowing to the wishes of RNC / Cato/Heritage Alliance and preparing to knuckle under to Social Security privatization ?

After 10 years dealing with professional programmers I have never encountered a group that could not make such simple changes as are required to reproduce the functionality OF THE OLD BOARD SYSTEM. Reading AARPHOST's response was a joke. In effect I was told the HOST was totally ignorant of the board system or this person was trying to "play a sucker off" with a line of mindless drivel and no answer to the original question. Such an exchange is very telling. Has the goal of the AARP changed ? What are these people doing????

Newt says it best

" Their debt numbers actually understate the problem because they fail to account for 4 additional powerful factors:

1. The taxpayers' burden in paying interest on the debt;

2. The cost of higher interest rates caused by federal government's borrowing;

3. The imminent financial crisis in Medicare;

4. The soon to be retiring Baby boomers and their effect on the Social Security Trust Fund.

Fact: Every Citizen will have to pay a lot in taxes for interest on the debt. "

True common sense is the best guide but many who convert or suddenly accept Christ are in a life crisis and are extremely weak and vulnerable to manipulation by those who seam to be strong and well centered in their beliefe system.

Posted 5/22/06 7:13 PM

You are so on point the use of " evangelical baiting is an old political tactic in the AMERICAN political system ( these people elected George Walker Bush ). In the current global political environment pounding the SADISTIC NE-CON EVANGELICAL ACTIVISTS drum is very risky ( ask Ahmanejad His reference to changing the government in Israel ) pandering to his extreme base. Became " CALLING FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF ISREAL " once translated and sensationalized by some media outlets. Now M. Albright and some other past Secretaries of State are trying to school the George Walker Bush Administration / Cato/Heritage in the art of diplomacy VS the well known art of AMERICAN coded hate speech.

Now I am wondering about the original reference that started this supposed Nazi / Iran linkage. A comment that the Holocaust never took place.??? Was this true or was this B$

People who pander to the extremes to form a base are in trouble in the " NEW MEDIA WORLD " every thing that you say is instantly spread all over the world just minuets after you say it. This is the end of the Southern stump speech vs the Northern stump speech. VS the " message to the Iranians " speech . They all better be in line and consistent.

AS for Chris Wattie Google says that he was embedded with some Canadian troops in Afghanistan sold a camera and made 7 posts on a message board to accomplish same. He listed himself as a " Freelancer " photog.

Posted 5/22/06 4:46 PM

I have over 1500 posts in the last year read some if the new programmers ever get the archives up and running along with advanced mode. It appears to me that the terminate the AARP movement is well under way. Via the hack job done on these boards by who ever started this new board system.

Posted 5/22/06 9:54 AM

Maybe we could coin new phrase an "Ahmadinejad " For when a statement was intended for a politicians extremist following and no one else. Reason being the idiomatic slang used is too confusing and vague to be widely translatable like " OLD FASHONED CHRISTAN VALUES " . " I BELIEVE IN GOOD CHRISTAN FAMLILY VALUES ". Does any body remember " THE LAW AND ORDER CANDIDATES " of the sixties ???

You Said "There was a spread in a magazine last year regarding Iranian women. The gov't was looking the other way when women were participating in golf ( even internationally ) playing tennis for example---- with their BURKAS on of course. The women were challenged by the garments they wore but didn't let it stop them. It also was saying the young Iranian generation admired Americans for their music which was being obtained secretly or not ----and played in the homes. In the USA we are spending millions a year taxpayer dollars for a department set up to monitor and record every swear word or what is sexual references on TV shows and every scene that reveals too much of a body part. FOR THOSE WHO MIS-INTERPRET---- NOTE I AM JUST STATING FACTS AND IS NOT NECESSARILY OF MY OPINION OR PERSONAL COMMENTS."

As can be proved with many historical references extremist "CHRISTENS" can be just as extreme ( if not more so ) than extremist "Muslims".

Another Fraud on Iran: No Legislation on Dress of Religious Minorities

Is this a plant I can't read Persian. But I know that GENOCIDE is prohibited in the Koran. This is worth a good read . ARE WE PLAYING A PR GAME ???

Maurice Motamed, the representative of

the Iranian Jewish community in Iran's parliament, has strongly denied the rumors started by Canada's National Post that the Iranian legislature has passed a law requiring members of religious communities to wear identifying badges.

The report was also deniedon Montreal

radio by Meir Javedanfar, Middle East Analyst and the Director for the Middle East Economic

and Political Analysis Company.

Does any body remember the positive "PR project that "Rumsy" started to counter Aljarezea ?

The National Post was founded by Conrad Black and has been owned by CanWest since 2003,* is not a repository of expertise about Iran. It is typical of black psychological operations campaigns that they begin with a plant in an out of the way* newspaper that is then picked up by the mainstream press. Once the Jerusalem Post picks it up, then reporters can source it there, even though the Post has done no original reporting and has just depended on the National Post article, which is extremely vague in its own sourcing (to "human rights groups").

The actual

legislation passed by the Iranian parliament regulates women's fashion, and urges the establishment of a national fashion house that would make Islamically appropriate clothing. There is a vogue for "Islamic chic" among many middle class Iranian women that involves, for instance, wearing expensive boots that

cover the legs and so, it is argued, are permitted under Iranian law. The scruffy, puritanical Ahmadinejad and his backers among the hardliners in parliament are waging a new and probably doomed struggle against the young Iranian fashionistas. (The Khomeinists give the phrase "fashion police" a whole new meaning).

There is nothing in this legislation that prescribes a dress code or badges for Iranian religious minorities, and Maurice Motamed was present during its drafting and says nothing like that was even discussed.

I wish I could read Persian !

We ( They or all of the world) are living the in the aftermath of one of the most Bigoted blunders of the 20th century. The U. S. supporting the creation of a Theocracy in that region known as Palestine. The reason being the Bigoted U. S. Congress didn't want the Jews coming to the United States of America in large numbers.

For a little history of AMERICAN bigotry ,,,,The two main demons of the Klan were them " niggers and them uppity Jews " The xenophobic sickness that the "Klan " was spreading during the "40"s and 50's". The Klan wielded a lot of power in the South and could affect the balance of power in the AMERICAN congress. The "South had to be placated " if you wanted to get any thing done in congress. Keeping the Jews out of their neighborhoods was a big issue for the "right thinking white folks " and a candidate's position on " LAW AND ORDER" could be the make or break issue for a House or Senate seat.

Prior to WWII the Ayatollahs, Rabies, and Priests had already figured out a solution to the management of Jerusalem's " Holy sites ". A simple extension of their egalitarian principals could have saved millions of lives. But no no,, the demands of a the "Klan" and their twisted moral code of hate and distrust tweaked U. S. Foreign policy and created a Theocracy where a democracy was needed. The beginning of the end. The assured destruction of any and all civility built over the last thousand years. The start of the death spiral ( the flat spin) .

Looks like we have yet to learn the lesson of bigotry what is George Walker Bush doing with the so called Secure Our Borders movement ? Pandering to fear and hate to gain a supposed political advantage. To raise a following trying to win a midterm election.

Golda saw the hand writing on the wall ,, and lost her job for it now the Palestinians are reaping the backlash to the backlash to the backlash to the backlash of extremism.

The U. S. missed the grand prize of WWII and the Palestinians and Jews of Palestine have been stuck with the "booby" prize of misery and suffering. Will the U. S. ever learn bigotry and racism are self defeating and never come to any real good.

Iran Eyes Badges For Jews

Human rights groups are raising alarms over a new law passed by the Iranian parliament that would require the country's Jews and Christians to wear coloured badges to identify them and other religious minorities as non-Muslims.

"This is reminiscent of the Holocaust," said Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles. "Iran is moving closer and closer to the ideology of the Nazis."

You Said "This whole "board improvement " project seams rather strange.

There is not much that I've seen about AARP that has impressed me. Even their defense of SS was rather wimpy and certainly did nothing to set up a fix for SS in later years. They seem to be ignoring Medicare. And their reaction to the Conference Report on Part D was almost criminal and at best amateurish..

A better test will be what happens after the elections if we gain majorities in both Houses of Congress. If we don't get a quick campaign to fix Part D (and I do mean fix - not a band-aid) then we need to look for better representation. Will know that by March 2007.

Just have a feeling that they think they exist for the perks they get and the right to rub shoulders with the rich and powerful in DC rather than to support their Membership.

That should get the censors on my case pretty quick!!!

Yes the AARP was lost ,,like most on the hill by the midnight bill passing executed by Delay's House Conference of scandal . Part "D" was written by Big Pharma for Big Pharma. The slimy rewrite was jammed through before any body had time to read the thing. A rewrite of part "D" is a must to build credibility with the sane people of this country and will save many lives and a lot of suffering over the next 10 years.

I don't know what the AARP could have done in the day allotted to stopping Delay's House Conference of scandal from forcing through this abortion of a law. Most Republicans were clueless to what was in that law( and probably still don't fully understand it) remember this law was written by big Pharma not a few Republican House members.

The AARP also has another rather lethal situation to handle. The Cato/Heritage has declared the AARP a major obstruction to the SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Boondoggle and has targeted the AARP for termination ( remember U.S.A. NEXT ? ) That was nothing the RNC slime machine has yet to really target the AARP. If the RNC stays in power in both Houses of congress the AARP will be in big trouble. Remember the Belafonte " LOONS " well the RNC can do better a lot better. Like trying to yank AARP's tax exempt status.

You Said"

The social security IOU_s are NOT Treasury bonds!!!

Repeat the above 100 times and then God willing you will begin to understand!!!

special-issue Treasury bonds ARE NOTHING MORE THAN IOU_s

Any "money" remaining in the trust fund is converted into special-issue Treasury bonds, which are really nothing more than IOUs. In addition, the Treasury pays interest on the trust fund's balance by crediting the trust fund with additional IOUs. These are also strictly accounting entries, and again no money changes hands. After crediting the trust fund with the proper amount in IOUs, the government spends the extra Social Security tax collections just like any other tax revenue--to finance anything from aircraft carriers to education research

.

When the government issues a bond to one of its own accounts, it hasn't purchased anything or established a claim against another entity or person. It is simply creating a form of IOU from one of its accounts to another.

http://www.heritage.org/Research/SocialSecurity/em940.cfm

Unless changes are made, when you reach age 60 in 2040, benefits for all retirees could be cut by 26 percent and could continue to be reduced every year thereafter. If you lived to be 100 years old in 2080 (which will be more common by then), your scheduled benefits could be reduced by 30 percent from today's scheduled levels.

http://www.ssa.gov/qa.htm

special-issue Treasury bonds, totaled $1.9 trillion at the beginning of 2006.

That is $1.9 trillion in debt or IOU_s NOT TREASURY BONDS!!

Repeat the above 100 times and then God willing you will begin to understand!!!

A mind is a terrible thing to waste

read the LAW and then read the Trustees report . The interest is real and the bonds are real. That's a fact jack.

You said "First, our government has borrowed over a trillion dollars from the trust fund and has no intention of ever paying it back or if they do it will only mean more of a tax burden for working Americans to do so. And to maintain the current status quo they will have to raise the eligibility age, lower benefits (means test) while raising the tax even more"

Wrong.

Over one TRILLION dollars is invested in government Treasury bonds. George Walker Bush is a avid bond investor . Bush used $800 thousand in Treasury Bonds to start his presidential campaign. The bonds were used to secure a loan from a bank. This is a standard use for these useless IOU'S. In the Commodity industry T bonds and T bills are used for earnest money deposits. This way the customers money is earning interest at all times and available to secure market positions. Treasury bills and bonds are also used in the equities industry as marginable funds. Please stop distorting reality with hyper-bull.

This whole "board improvement " project seams rather strange. Most of the time when a system is updated or enhanced the team starts with a base line to improve upon. What was the base line in this upgrade ??

Posted 5/9/06 1:22 PM

I find it much easier to keep the images on an external server and link to them via the img src cmd . All the images I have are sized for the old boards. The size of the old msg. Space was perfect. The old boards displayed a balanced look and feel not present in this new "hack". I have been modifying Mambo to increase the content display area in the style sheet and the PHP code and images. Looks like I will have to use some Java script to finish. I found a good balance for display width vs computer screen width. To me it looks like our "programmers have give up on keeping the boards easily viewable for all. When a graphic is shrunk too small the text in graphics becomes hard to read. The larger the text the longer one can read the text before the onset of eye fatigue. Why force people to read tiny text to post on these boards?

You said:"Given the continued lose of rate of return that we now get from social security anything is better than losing all of your SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION investment which is where we are headed if we stay on the same track we have been traveling.

Lets talk about the road the RNC / Cato/Heritage alliance has placed us on

This is the BLS CPI

The cost of living has been rising and the tax liability for all income groups save the top earners is slated to continue to rise

Over these same years the Social Security Administration has been paying benefits and reducing the poverty rate among seniors fact !

Census Bureau Poverty Data 1959 to 2004

Now by age group

All the while Delay's House Conference of scandal is running up the National Debit to new highs

Yet the pay / compensation of American workers is going nowhere.

Now lets remember that the minimum wage has been stuck at $5.15/hr since 1997.

The RNC / Cato/Heritage Alliance is in the process of laying the 2001 Tax Cut (1) liability on our children and their children.

From the Children's Defense Fund

And you want to add another $5 to $18 TRILLION to this bill ????

You said:" There is NO plan now or proposed that can assure a rate of return. Anyone who believes that the current social security plan guarantees a rate of return is betting on a bank full of fools gold."

WRONG

The Social Security Administration has been doing this for the past 60 plus years. The basic Social Security benefit is and has always been the immutable base below which none shall fall. Social Security works !!!

You said: " The above is pure propaganda. There isn_t a "new" plan out there that effects seniors at all. They will continue to get the same benefits they now get, PERIOD. Anyone who says otherwise has taken the propaganda bait hook line and sinker at the expense of the young which they leave hanging on the vine."

Please educate your self by reading a few good books on asset allocation and risk control. The Cato/Heritage / RNC spin and simple minded double babble is meaningless. Please learn some thing about investing.

You Said " I have seen your post several times and I never bothered to stop and read any of it because you had the picture of Lenin and the title : BUST Lenin's PROPAGANDA MACHINE I am not a big fan of Lenin and I could tell by the way you constructed this link you are. And from that I just assumed you were a hard anti-privatization advocate. Since I have heard all of their objections before to nausea, I just passed your posts. I must also add that I am not a fan of communism either."

The RNC is the party following the Lenin-Plan.pdf. Click and read the pdf.

The Base Social Security benefit is not and was never intended to compete with "high yield" high RISK investments. The basic Social Security benefit is that level below which hopefully none will fall.

All of the RNC SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION reform plans cost TRILLIONS of dollars to initiate and will leave seniors in a Greater Fool Investment Scam playing with " margined " accounts and or limited abilities to dynamically reallocate and align their "risk" profiles as market conditions change. There is no RNC approved plan that is suitable as an retirement account to provide an assured rate of return to be used as a base for a retirement income portfolio.

If one notes the recent moves of the George Walker Bush Administration in perspective the " Revised " SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Trust exhaustion projection is expected. Does anybody remember the two out side SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Trust trustees that George Walker Bush can_t live with out ??? Their term is up,,,, if the facts are the facts then somebody else will come to the same conclusion,, right???

There is some thing else to consider the fertility rate is up and the GDP / real net productivity is rising ?? The interest rates are on the rise yet the actuaries are predicting a lower real interest rate???

A few months ago I found a pair of power point slides:

The save SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION simulation

Eliminate SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Simulation

What were these people talking about ???? Was this the start of the SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION boondoggle ???

Posted 5/2/06 12:53 AM

Sorry TD for the off topic msg but I got involved looking at how Prospero hacked up "the board". The msg was intended for " ALL".

Posted 5/1/06 9:26 PM

The new SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Actuaries report is up and available at:

The most interesting thing is the " Adjustments " made by the SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Trustees . Remember the two public Trustees that George Walker Bush doesn't want to replace ??? Well the LTAM to OSM divergence is increasing???
